I can't believe Victoria is 3.5 months old! How time is flying by. Since my last post (I had every intention of posting at 3 months...) she has learned so much. She can laugh - but is still very selective on when she does it. She has started the process of learning how to roll over - she has managed to get up on her side a few times.
Possibly one of the biggest changes has been discovering how to help her fall asleep in the evenings. Up to a few nights ago Bryan and I would struggle with nursing (he really struggled with that ;-) ) or rocking Victoria to sleep and then sitting absolutely still on the couch with fear that she may wake up and you'd have to restart the cycle. Two days ago around 5:45 I decided to put her in her swing chair in her bedroom as she had been awake for a while and looked tired. She didn't make a noise and fell asleep and stayed that way until 9! She then woke up every 3-4 hours through the night as per usual. I tried the same thing last night with similar results!! The unfortunate part of this is that Bryan misses seeing her awake as he often isn't home from work at that time and he is gone before she is up in the morning. Hopefully, I can continue to catch her tired cues and get her to bed when she needs it and as she gets older her bedtime will shift a bit later so she can play with dad!
Victoria is making her first trip to the Maritimes in June. Due to the economy Westjet has dropped a few flights, both of which we were booked on. These had reasonable departure/arrival times and no layovers. The flights they moved us to are the opposite. So if any one out there has tips on flying solo with a six month old across the country let me know. Bryan will not be making the trip with us as he will be redoing our main floor bath and Victoria's room! She is going to get updated insulation - no more R4 wool in her walls - and a new paint job.

As for me, I'm continuing my rehab - things are improving. I've been successfully making it to the gym three times a week for a few weeks now. At the moment it is Crossfit Open season and I've been able to attempt all three of the workouts so far. Last weeks scaled option wasn't an option for me (too much jumping which would set back my rehab), so I opted for the Rx division in which I could only do the first 10 reps. Not much of a workout but that was ok as I then just did the regularly scheduled class. There are only 2 weeks left and I'm hoping for a workout with a rower!
The little one is stirring so I'm off.
