I know, I know, it's not even February yet! Bryan and I have decided to embark on a spring/summer of reno's on our soon to be 60 year old bungalow. We are planning on attacking our kitchen and living room as well as redoing our shingles and replacing the picture window. I've posted some photos below of how the house looked like when we moved in coming up on two years ago. Words can not really describe it.

I've been telling myself that I should really start running again oh since about the long weekend in August. Last night I finally set the alarm for 5 and decided that today would be the day. I also ordered a hands free leash for the dogs (irondoggy.com). It comes equipped with super strong bungees and knots that I can grip on to try and control their rabbit urges. So as the alarm went off this morning and I stumbled to the bathroom with conehead (Seamus) and tail thumper (Larry) in tow I paused and picked up my pile of running clothes that I had stashed the night before. I've tried placing them on the floor or in a clothes basket but this turns into a game for Seamus after I go to sleep. How many of Liz's clothes can I drag out to the living room and lay on. It's more than you would think and more fun if he can fit two or three pieces in his mouth at a time. I got dressed only having a slight issue with the sports bra, put my sleepy head through the wrong gap...got that sorted and then headed outside to leash up the dogs. Caesar would have a hay day with us - an extreme level of excitement comes when they see their collars the leashes something that could be a leash or a collar or if you look at them. Off comes the cone and we slide down the back alley and out onto the road. I was trying out a new app to get me up to a decent 5k time but the stupid thing wasn't working so we did our own thing down into Goldbar park cross country trails. By the end the dogs weren't pulling (as much) and I was sweaty. We will be back at it on Wednesday and maybe even Friday but I'm thinking Friday will be Saturday because who wants to get up at 5 on a Friday? Not me. |
