I had survived Vegas and was back in the gym last week and all gung ho to start my running program this week - today to be exact.
Unfortunately, I have caught a virus from somewhere and spent most of the long weekend on my couch covered in blankets and trying not to breathe. My throat was so sore sometimes that it hurt to breathe. Dizzy spells, coughing, the feeling of almost having an earache, cough....not fun when my abs were sore from 60 situps and 50 kettlebell swings on Thursday night.
I am likely going to take the rest of the week off of the gym and start my running next week....even though the race isn't til August I don't have that much time to get up to half marathon distance.
On the plus side - taking a spoon full of honey really helps the sore throat and it tastes way better than Buckley's and it works!!
