Saturday is approaching at a super sonic speed. I only have one more day of work and it shows up in the 4 day weather outlook (22 and sunny with 93% humidity and 40% chance of showers).
I'm starting to get excitvous or nercited! I've got my running outfit all picked out - well almost. Do I wear my new orange tights or my blue and yellow ones? Do I wear my fancy lulu top (also blue-but it will leave me with awesome tan lines) or a tank and deal with possible chaffing from the bag? I do know what shoes I'm wearing and what socks - my Fast Trax friends (they do not know that we are friends) hooked me up with some pretty bad ass socks for the run!
Judging from the forecast I'm going to be soaked, likely not from the rain. I mean really 93% humidity, in Alberta? with sun? I have almost started to sweat thinking about it!
We had an enlightening, for some (Jo), team meeting on Friday. I can't believe you hadn't read the description of your leg yet! We discussed strategies and our goal of getting Jill back into town before last call - it'll be close I think. I'm grabbing the water tomorrow, some food on Thursday and likely some beer for the hotel room - don't want to risk getting to Grande Cache and them being sold out. What oils be my motivation to finish?!?! ;-)
Thanks everyone who has taken time out of their day to read my blog, wish me luck and live part of the craziest thing I have ever paid to do. Writing about this and sharing my thoughts with you has helped keep me motivated in my training (thankfully? I have not turned into a runner - I still dread them, especially the long ones) and my eyes on the prize.
I will be posting some photos from the weekend and a summary blog or three so keep your eyes peeled - that is if they have cell service up there (I kid).
Also thanks to all who were able to help me reach (and pass) my fund raising goal! This one is for you dad (at least he liked running!)!!
