Got back into training today - ran 5 km with the boys (Seamus and Larry - no Bryan) and then went to Champ City Crossfit for a team WOD. Maybe a bit ambitious to my first day after being sick - but I'm feeling pretty good right now (may have something to do with the DQ Flamethrower I just ate).
For my training I've decided to use the RunKeeper app to get me up to half marathon distances and to keep me accountable/on-track with running. It has a variety of training programs to choose from - I picked the sub 2:30 half marathon. This program will take me to June 8 - leaving just under two months to maintain the distance and get some much needed hill work done.
I'll let you know in August how this works out for me. Next weekend (or maybe when mom is here) I'm going to go to a local running store (Fast Trax) and try and decide what type of foot wear will be best for the race.
Enough with the procrastination - must get this assignment done for my Conservation Biology course.
